Vernon has taught golf all across the state of Alabama. His career as a professional began at TimberCreek Golf Club in Daphne where he was able to study under Golf Digest top 100 instructor, Ron Gring. Quickly, Vernon established a student base and was well respected as a promising instructor in the Alabama Gulf Coast region. Vernon moved from TimberCreek to the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail where he was able to continue teaching as well as conduct Junior and Ladies clinics.
